CEOFANB balance sheet: More than 200 tons of drugs have been seized in the last 4 years

The head of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CEOFANB), Domingo Hernández Lárez, offered this Friday an assessment of the military institution in the fight against drug trafficking and the operations of the military institution in defense of the sovereignty of Venezuela.

During the event for the 20th Anniversary of the CEOFANB, led by President Nicolás Maduro, Hernández Lárez compared the achievements of 2025 and the last four years, highlighting that 178 operational deployments are currently active throughout the country.

He pointed out that in 2025, 37 makeshift camps were destroyed, for a total of 1775 in the last 4 years; 15 laboratories, for a total of 190. “All this happens to my chief commander in the periphery of the country,” he said.

The Commander highlighted the achievements in the area of anti-drugs, compared to the years in which the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) was in the country. “This year we have a record of 60,637 kg and we haven't reached the end of the year, for a total of 200,102 kg in the last 4 years, or an average of 50,000 kg per year.”
