On the afternoon of this Wednesday, June 10, the president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, received at the Miraflores Palace the executive director of the company Schlumberger Limited, Olivier Le Peuch, with whom a memorandum of understanding was signed with the company Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA).
The fundamental purpose of this agreement is to specify new areas of cooperation in the oil and gas sectors, promoting the transfer of cutting-edge technology for the exploration, drilling and optimization of deposits in the country.
For his part, Olivier Le Peuch said “that it is a proud moment for us to be signing this memorandum of understanding with PDVSA because we have been in the country for 97 years without interruption, being the second country we enter as a company”.
He added that “our history with this country has been one of developing technology and providing support, so it's a moment of great pride for the company and the future of both.”
He added that “we are very honored because Venezuela's resources are unique and this creates incredible opportunities for Venezuelans. This is the base we have been building for 97 years.”
