The Robinsonian Center for Social Security (CERSSOCIAL) proposed to the National Parliament to decree February 15 as Social Security Day.
During the forum “205 years of the Congress of Angostura and Installation of the Training Process”, organized by the Office of Human Management of the National Assembly (AN), for the workers of the legislative body, the proposal emerged.
The event, in the Bolivian Hall of the National Assembly, was attended by CERSSOCIAL's spokeswoman, Elizabeth Pinto; and the Deputy Minister of Social Security of the Ministry of Labor, Rafael Ríos Bolívar.
Ríos recalled that El Libertador Simón Bolívar was the first person in the world to refer to the term “Social Security” as a value and principle that was embodied in the Constitution of 1819, “for this reason it must be given a predominant character throughout history,” he said.
