The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, led this Thursday a wreath before the sarcophagus where the mortal remains of the Liberator Simon Bolivar are removed, in the National Pantheon, in Caracas, on the occasion of the 242nd anniversary of the birth of the Father of the Fatherland.

The Venezuelan Foreign Minister was accompanied by the president of the Simon Bolivar Institute (ISB), Blanca Eekhout; the president of TeleSUR, Patricia Villegas, “who today celebrates 20 years since the founding of this channel, which stands as the voice of the peoples; and Dr. Aleida Guevara, daughter of Commander Che Guevara, who represents the distinguished international guests who accompany us in this tribute to Libertador ,” said the diplomat on his Telegram channel.
