Chancellor Gil reviews bilateral cooperation agenda with Russian ambassador

Gil said that at the meeting they talked about the “progress” of the significant bilateral agenda that our countries have developed.

The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, received in his office this Thursday the ambassador of the Russian Federation accredited to Caracas, Sergey Mélik-Bagdasárov, to address various issues of common interest.

Through his Telegram channel , Gil noted that at the meeting they talked about the “progress of the significant bilateral agenda that our countries have developed, based on mutual benefit and on a solid political and diplomatic alliance.”

Last October, in the framework of the XVI BRICS Summit, the Venezuelan president and his Russian counterpart, Nicolás Maduro and Vladimir Putin, respectively, reiterated the intention of their nations to build a new, more just world, based on the rule of law, the inadmissibility of neocolonial approaches and without interference in the internal affairs of other States.

Recently, regarding the XVIII meeting of the High-Level Intergovernmental Commission (CIAN), Caracas and Moscow signed 17 agreements in various areas, including military cooperation, technology, energy, education, trade, finance, air transport and tourism.
