This Thursday, the Charallave Emergency Operational Committee (Miranda Firefighters, Civil Protection, Local and State Police and Public Security) was activated to tour communities and monitor damage that could have been caused by the double earthquake in the town.
According to information issued by the Government of Miranda, the mayor of the municipality Cristóbal Rojas, Yuhismar Hernández, supervised the territory and verified the needs of the Charallavense families after the event that mourns the entire country and activated a collection center at the headquarters of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, located in Los Samanes, for all the victims of the natural event.
“The state of La Guaira is very affected and here they can bring supplies: drinking water, diapers, non-perishable food. It's time to be united,” he said.
In addition, he noted that the Emergency Decree signed on June 24 includes damage monitoring, activation of extraordinary public order measures, temporary shelters and sanctions against speculation and disinformation.
It was also known that the teams of the mayor's office and Corpoelec are constantly monitoring the electricity service, as well as water and gas.
“We call on citizens to review their gas distribution systems, stay calm, take shelter in safe places and not mobilize if not necessary, so as not to collapse roads and so that the deployment of care is not affected.”
