This Wednesday, the People's Republic of China released its plan of action on foreign investment in 2025, with which it plans to guarantee the stability of this and other sectors, such as education and culture, among its initiatives to boost development.
The document, recently approved at an executive meeting of the State Council, highlights that the Asian giant will support pilot regions in the effective implementation of opening policies related to the area of value-added telecommunications, biotechnology and wholly foreign-owned hospitals.
In this regard, the Ministry of Commerce and the National Development and Reform Commission noted that foreign investment “is a key aspect of promoting high-level openness and plays a significant role in fostering new quality productive forces and in advancing Chinese modernization.”
The proposal contemplates that China will continue to expand its pilot programs in order to open up fields such as telecommunications and medical services in a timely manner.
