China ratified support for Cuba and asks the US to cease pressure

On Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China ratified its support for Cuba in the face of the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States (USA), and therefore formally urged the Donald Trump administration to tune in to global public opinion and cease its hostility.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman, Guo Jiakun, stressed that it is imperative that Washington pay attention to the voice of international justice, and demanded the immediate lifting of the economic blockade, as well as an end to sanctions and any instrument of pressure or coercion that is applied to the Cuban people.

This diplomatic support had a tangible echo in a recent cultural exchange that brought together young people from both nations and members of the Communist Youth League of China, who took advantage of the space to reaffirm their total solidarity with the Cuban resistance in the face of imperialist policies.

Political statements and condemnations of the blockade form only part of the alliance between Beijing and Havana, which materializes in projects of high technical relevance.
