China supports dialogue between Russia and Ukraine and offers its collaboration in negotiations

The People's Republic of China on Tuesday expressed its support for the possible dialogue between the Russian Federation and Ukraine as a channel to reach a lasting and just peace agreement between the two countries.

Beijing also said it was willing to collaborate with the international community in the negotiations between Moscow and Kiev, provided that they have the consensus of the parties involved.

“China supports all efforts that are conducive to peace,” said Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning when asked about telephone conversations held between US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterparts, Vladimir Putin, and Ukrainian, Vladimir Zelensky.
