The facilities of the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, located in the Sucre parish of Caracas, received the red label classification by the Presidential Commission for the Evaluation of Habitability of Housing and Infrastructure, due to the damage detected in its physical plant.

The parish priest José Aquino explained that the church structure suffered severe damage, especially to its walls and the altar. He also indicated that the parish school also had care problems, which is why it received the yellow classification.

Aquino assured that, despite the damage, the church will not cease its work to accompany affected families. “Our people at this time need to be accompanied, listened to and guided and that is the mission of the church,” said the pastor, ratifying the commitment to maintain this active support.

As for the facilities of the San Rafael de Pagüita Parish School, these will receive new visits in order to deepen the corresponding reviews and determine their status, pending the support provided by the national Government.
