Cinemateca Nacional evaluates 59 proposals for 2026 Research Grants

The National Cinemateca Foundation of Venezuela evaluates 59 projects applied for the 2026 Film Research Scholarships program, after the closing of the call.

The proposals, coming from different regions of the country, address issues related to the history of Venezuelan cinema, social analysis and the Cinema and Women axis, the institution reported through its social networks.

After receiving the documents, a committee of specialized juries began the technical and methodological evaluation of the projects to select the five proposals that will receive academic funding.

The program seeks to promote cinematographic research, the rescue of audiovisual archives and the preservation of historical memory linked to Venezuelan cinema.
