The president in charge of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, and the executive director of the Italian oil company ENI, Claudio Descalzi, signed an agreement, this Tuesday, April 28 in Caracas, to relaunch oil production in the Junín-5 field and strengthen production.

Representatives from Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) and the Ministry of Popular Power for Hydrocarbons participated in the signing of agreements.

Descalzi said he was very excited about the signing of these agreements, which he believes will allow for growth in the future. “We have great protections for oil fields with speeches available,” he said.

In that regard, he emphasized that with those resources that are available, the possibility of increasing production for the welfare of Venezuela and ENI opens up.

ENI never left Venezuela, we were always producing here despite the difficulties,” he said, while maintaining that the conditions are right, “we have had very positive meetings” with the teams, with the ministers and with the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez.

He also stated that he is convinced that he will soon be able to present auspicious plans for the future. “Our goal is to define, together with the ministers and the President (E), an investment plan and execute it before the end of the year,” he said.

Finally, Descalzi thanked him for the reception and the work they have given him and for the opportunity to work together. “If everything goes as it goes, this is going to be one of the important investments we have made in the country,” I forecast.
