The president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Elvis Amoroso, announced the extension of the electoral process for the Municipal Elections 2025, until 8:00pm, since there are still voters queuing up at the country's voting centers.

In statements from the headquarters of the electoral body, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, he said that the measure is being taken “because there are still queues, there are many voters in different electoral centers.”

For this reason, he specified that the rectors and rectors of the CNE, “we have decided to give an extension until 8:00 at night, to give the opportunity to all the people, who are still in line, to express their will through suffrage.”

“We are very proud of this participation of the Venezuelan people and of our youth who are still queuing up at the different voting centers in Venezuela,” he said.
