The vice-president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Carlos Quintero, reported that this Saturday, July 26, two audits will be carried out on the automated voting system, while next Monday, July 28, the technical cycle will be completed with another three as part of the electoral guarantees of the Municipal Elections of July 27.

During a telephone contact with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), Quintero stressed that audits allow the validation of the voting act, the transmission of data and its correspondence with the totalization system.

“These are scientific tests that can be demonstrated technically. Each political organization safeguards its chain of trust, which translates into security and transparency of results,” he said.

He assured that the results issued by the CNE on Sunday the 27th will be “a reflection of the popular will expressed at the polls, with full integrity in the recorded information.”

In addition, Quintero recognized the commitment of the officials of the Electoral Power and called on all citizens, especially young people, to participate with conviction in this democratic day.

“This July 27, let's make history again for peace and for Venezuela,” he said.
