The “Dr. José Gregorio Hernández” Communal Bakery, in the Sucre parish of Caracas, was inaugurated by young entrepreneurs in the sector, who manage this production center to position themselves as a strategic axis for local socio-economic development.
The establishment reopened after being out of service since 2015, as a result of the economic siege against the country.
The youth organization made it possible to implement this project, which translates into a direct impact on more than 600 families in the sector and guarantees timely access to high-quality and affordable bakery products.
“We, as an active and organized youth, planned and saw the need to attend to and reopen this bakery at this point and circle of the territory,” said one of the young bakers.
The space is a modern infrastructure of 200 square meters that, based on a concept of innovation in manufacturing processes and protocols, reflects the direct result of the Concrete Agenda for Action (ACA) and the Dream Map designed to boost the local economy.
In this regard, the Minister of Popular Power for Youth, Sergio Lotartaro, indicated that what began as a project selected in the Popular Youth Consultation is today a tangible reality. “This venture is proof that, by giving voice, vote and tools of action to our people, their vision of the future directly drives the country's growth,” he emphasized.
