The mayor of the municipality Diego Ibarra, in the state of Carabobo, Lesbia Castillo, during her participation in the program Café in the Morning broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, explained that thanks to the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Plan, 500 lamps with LED technology were installed and poles were connected at all entrances, mainly the one in Aragua.
He also stressed that avenues have been demarcated and cat's eyes have been placed, as well as the execution of the Asphalt Plan.
Regarding the issue of solid waste collection, a problem that he classified as serious in that municipality, he indicated that more than six open-air garbage dumps have been cleaned up, accompanied by a communication campaign for the integration of Popular Power.
“If People's Power had not been incorporated, it would have been impossible to do so. We are giving these spaces to the Communes, to the Community Councils so that they can make space for recreation, for the recreation of boys and girls,” he emphasized.
Castillo, pointed out that among the economic actions that have been carried out, the most important is the installation of a tax collection system. “Before everything was manual, to carry out the necessary audits, we have prepared prosecutors, auditors, a whole team in the treasury to begin to really verify what we have in the municipality, what is the real catastrophe of our economy,” he explained.
On the other hand, he asserted that there are more than 700 carpentry shops in the municipality, some are exporters and others are family members. “We don't have space, but we're going to get them so they can display their quality and beautiful furniture,” he said.
The mayor also said that they are asking the National Park Institute (Imparques) to certify the Henri Pittier National Park route. “We have the big blue well that receives people from all municipalities, from all states on a weekly basis, but who only leave us garbage, they don't leave us any kind of income,” he said.
