Following instructions from Governor José Alejandro Terán, the Secretary of Government of the state of La Guaira, Daniel Mata, inspected this Thursday the construction work of the new hemodialysis and pediatric areas that will be available at the Dr. Alfredo Machado Outpatient Clinic in Catia la Mar, known as the hospital.
Accompanied by Dr. Nélida Lossada, director of the medical center, Mata reported that deep rehabilitation work has been carried out to include new areas such as pediatric emergency, pediatric hospitalization and isolation room.
In the case of the hemodialysis room, he specified that up to 30 patients will be treated per day.
“We are adding porcelain tile to all areas and we are also improving care and the quality of service in the area of health,” he said.
Work has already been done on electrical connections and the installation of luminaires, ceilings and air conditioners, all while preparing the installation of wooden doors and windows.
Mata highlighted that the remodeling of the façade of the outpatient clinic and the intervention of administrative areas are also being carried out to improve the comfort of medical staff.
“Health is a priority and thanks to the support of President Nicolás Maduro, in the administration of Governor José Alejandro Terán, we are still working for it. This time it was the hospital's turn, but we're also in other health centers in the state,” he added.
Last year, the Government of the state of La Guaira rehabilitated this health center and made the areas of trauma shock, nursing and internal medicine fully operational, also activating the X-ray service.
