The
construction of the new pier in Ocumare de la Costa is 95% complete, according to the governor of the state of Aragua, Karina Carpio.
The work, which is expected to be inaugurated in the coming
days, represents a significant milestone for economic and
tourist development in the region.
With dimensions of 60 meters long, 6
meters wide and 5 meters deep, the pier promises to transform the
lives of the inhabitants of the coastal axis. “The materialization of this
dream will definitely change the life of the entire coastal axis. It is
a manifestation of responsibility on the part of
regional and national authorities from an economic and tourist point of view,”
said Carpio during a recent visit to the site and quoted by the state government's press.
Rosmil Infante, representative of the National Institute of Aquatic
Spaces (INEA), also emphasized the importance of the project.
“This is a very important project where all the
support is expected to be provided, since it will be a great benefit for both the state of Aragua and Carabobo through a waterway that links both states,” he said.
Infante added that the plans include the implementation of a
box office and other services that will allow visitors to enjoy
the pier in comfort. The ship that will operate on this new route will have
a capacity for approximately 80 passengers.
