The Panamanian airline Copa Airlines confirmed the extension of its schedule of special and additional flights to and from Arturo Michelena International Airport in Valencia, Carabobo state, until at least July 15.
This measure seeks to guarantee air connectivity and offer mobility alternatives between Panama and Venezuela in the face of the national emergency due to the earthquakes of June 24, the airline says on its website.
The company's decision responds to the suspension of operations at Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, which was damaged during the earthquakes.
Regular daily operation will maintain the CM 250 flight departing from Panama City at 11:43 in the morning and arriving in Valencia at 2:53 in the afternoon, while the regular return, under the CM 251 code, will take off from Carabobo territory at 16:03 in the afternoon.
In addition to this schedule, two additional rotation blocks are added to absorb passenger demand. The first block includes the special flight CM 603, which leaves Panama at 09:03 in the morning, and its counterpart CM 605, which returns from Valencia at 13:43 in the afternoon. The second reinforcement rotation will operate with flight CM 447, leaving the Panamanian terminal at 13:33 in the afternoon, and CM 437, departing from the capital of Carabobo at 18:03 in the afternoon.
