This Tuesday, June 2, the Ministry of People's Power for Transportation, through
the Deputy Minister of Air Transport, Sergio Silvio
Prato, together with Governor Luis Marcano, celebrated the restart of Copa Airlines operations between Panama and
Barcelona.
The reactivation of this route at G/D José Antonio
Anzoátegui International Airport, which will have three weekly frequencies, reflects the dynamism and
progress of air connectivity in the country, strategically boosting
tourism, the economy and the modernization of airport services in the eastern region, the local press said.
Roberto Pulido, general manager of Copa Airlines in Venezuela, stressed that the company's priority is not only to fly, but to better connect people, offering faster, safer and more reliable trips to reactivate tourism, commerce and, above all, to unite families.
This connectivity will provide an automatic door for all passengers coming or leaving Venezuela to connect through the Hub of the Americas at Tocumen Airport in Panama, with 85 destinations in 32 countries.
The Deputy Minister of Air Transport stressed that the country's economic and tourism sector is being strengthened in the state.
