CORPOELEC remains deployed to restore electricity service after earthquakes

Workers from the National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) are carrying out technical maneuvers and operations to restore electricity supply in areas affected by recent earthquakes, said the Minister of Electric Energy, Rolando Alcalá.
According to a press release, Alcalá specified that the technicians of the state power company are deployed in the affected states and sectors “repairing substations, distribution circuits and generation plants.”
He also stressed that the service has been normalized in a large part of the territory, and work continues to be carried out to supply electricity in the states, La Guaira and Carabobo, two of the entities, attacked with the greatest impact by the natural phenomenon.
Last Wednesday, June 24, two earthquakes of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 shook the country, causing the collapse of infrastructures and buildings in several states of the Venezuelan nation.
