The National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC), this Wednesday, September 10, issued a statement in which it strongly condemned the criminal attack carried out against the National Electric System (SEN), which affected two 230 kV transmission lines located in the East of the country.
CORPOELEC published the aforementioned statement on its social accounts, in which it states that this act of sabotage, which constitutes a serious aggression against the peace and stability of the nation, was faced with determination by the workers of the institution, who managed to restore electricity service in record time.
“This new attack comes at a crucial moment when the national government, led by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, is fighting a battle for the defense of Venezuela's sovereignty and independence, in the face of systematic aggression by the United States Government,” the letter highlights.
After this new attack, the CORPOELEC team calls on the Venezuelan people to remain alert, united and firm in the face of destabilizing actions promoted by factors linked to the extreme right.
Despite attempts at sabotage, the national Government is working tirelessly to guarantee a reliable, stable and safe electricity service; the mission is to protect the people's right to energy, as an essential element for life, economic development and collective well-being.
