CORPOELEC will begin preventive discharge this Monday 13th at Bajo Caroní hydroelectric power plants

The National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) issued an official statement, informing that, starting this Monday, June 13 at 11:00 a.m., the preventive discharge process will begin at the Bajo Caroní hydroelectric power plants.
In the aforementioned statement, he explains that these tasks will be carried out with the objective of ensuring the operation of the electrical system throughout the national territory.
In this context, the authorities called on the population to protect safety, especially the people and users who live in the parks downstream and in the resorts of the Orinoco and Caroní rivers, as well as fishermen, shipping operators and water sports people.
They also urged the community to take appropriate precautions in the face of the increase in the speed of the current in the rivers.
