CORPOZULIA activated the Agricultural and Livestock Committee to promote the Agrifood Development Plan

In order to promote the Agrifood Development Plan in the state of Zulia, the president of the Development Corporation of the Zulia Region (CORPOZULIA), Néstor Reverol, announced the activation of the Agriculture and Livestock Committee, in coordination with the Ministry of Popular Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands .

On his Instagram account, Reverol specified that this plan involves CORPOZULIA, Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), the Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone (ZODI), the Federal Government Council, together with 16 other public sector entities and organizations, and nine private companies.

“This Committee is divided into six subcommissions: Security, Production, Infrastructure, Finance, Marketing and Internal Marketing and Export, Animal Health and Production Plan for Livestock 2025-2030,” he said.

He stressed that these actions strengthen the protection and financing policies of the territorial axes dedicated to the production of different sectors, including cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, milk; as well as grapes, bananas, cocoa, porcelain, palm, fruits and aloe.

During the activity, together with the Minister of the Popular Power of Agriculture, Menry Fernández, he presented 21 award titles for 1,101 hectares of land to representatives of the agricultural sector of 10 parishes in Zulia: Ana María Campos, Antonio Borjas Romero, Bartolomé de las Casas, Chiquinquirá, El Rosario, Francisco Eugenio Bustamante, General Urdaneta, José Cenobio Urribarrí, Pueblo Nuevo and Tamare.

“Seven vaccination certificates against foot-and-mouth disease and five certificates were also issued from the Technical Unit for Research, Training and Extension (UTICEX), by the Fund for Socialist Agrarian Development (FONDAS),” he said.
