Members of the Bolivarian National Police Force (CPNB) destroyed, in Falcón state, a clandestine airstrip used by groups dedicated to drug trafficking.

According to a post published by the Ministry of Interior, Justice and Peace on its Instagram account, the infrastructure was located in a remote area of the Cayude sector of the Carirubana municipality, during preventive patrols.

The runway, with suitable conditions for landing light aircraft, functioned as a key logistics point for criminal networks dedicated to drug trafficking.

Once its operation and illegal use had been verified, it was immediately disbanded and dismantled, thus neutralizing an access road that represented a direct threat to territorial security.
