Venezuelan Jessiré Rivas won three gold medals and two silver
medals in speed and cross-country events, during the Speed
Track Series at the Villa de Gijón International Trophy at the start of the Speed Track European Series circuit in Spain.
The criolla dominated the speed and
cross-country races, after winning two gold medals in the 5,000-meter elimination tests
and in the 1,000-meter sprint. A silver one for the 200 meters Dual TT and 500 meters

The competition sponsored by World Skate
Europe took place on the Manuel
López “Manolín” track of the Moreda sports
complex, in Guijón, and brought together more than 600 world-class skaters, according to a press release from the Ministry of Popular
Power for Sport.
“With that strength and that faith in my heart, I lived
every meter this week in Gijón. Every race reminded me of why I love this
sport and why I continue to fight with such passion for my dreams.
I thank my rivals for their intensity, dedication and respect on the track. Competing with
you requires more of me, it drives me to grow and makes me a better athlete,” said

editions of 2024 and 2025.
Rivas' next destination will be from April 4 to
