Defense Minister announces military reinforcement in peninulas and coastal areas of the country:

This Sunday, September 7, the Minister of People's Power for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, announced military reinforcement in the country's main peninulas and coastal areas.

In a message posted through his Instagram account, Padrino López explained that he held a meeting with the General Staff of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), in the bunker, taking stock of the operations that are deployed throughout the national territory.

He explained that President Nicolás Maduro called on them to make a special reinforcement of the existing deployment and to reinforce the military presence in the Venezuelan Guajira and in the peninsula of Paraguaná (Falcón state) and in the east of the country the states Nueva Esparta, Sucre and Delta Amacuro, extending operations to the Caribbean and the Atlantic.

“There are currently 25,000 troops deployed in the so-called peace zone number one, which covers the states of Táchira and Zulia, with the support of naval and river resources, drones and infantry equipment,” he said

He also maintained that there is an operation in the Sierra de Perijá to verify and verify the non-existence of illicit crops, as well as a deployment in the Apure state with river routes in rivers such as Meta, Capanaparo, Cunaviche and Sinaruco, to block the area of possible drug trafficking.

“The Bolivarian Navy will continue its deployment on the Caribbean and Atlantic façade, while military aviation will be responsible for protecting Venezuelan airspace,” he said.
