Defense Minister: While the world is in an arms race, in Venezuela we are working for peace

While the world is in a profound contradiction and an unprecedented arms race, in Venezuela we are working to deepen peace, as the Minister of Defense, G/J Vladimir Padrino López, assures us.

In statements offered to Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), after exercising her right to vote, she stressed that these efforts for peace rest on a strong, robust democratic system that expresses itself through electoral means.

“Everyone here has voted and we have been able to see the strength of our electoral system. We can say that we have the best electoral system in the world, which provides confidence to Venezuelans because it is auditable, impenetrable, unalterable, inviolable, not manipulable,” he stressed.

In the same way, he stressed that our democracy has also been strengthened with the development of the Popular Consultation where people can choose from more than 33,000 projects developed by young people to contribute to the development of their communities.
