The Executive Vice President and Minister of the People's Power of Hydrocarbons, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted this Friday the courage of the Venezuelan workforce that answered the call for military enlistment made by President Nicolás Maduro to defend the Homeland, in the face of new imperial threats.

From Carabobo state, during the day of enlistment, Rodríguez pointed out that “the entire deployed country and we are here with the body of fighters, the workers of PDVSA, Pequiven, of the different companies that make up the energy conglomerate, of the Venezuelan hydrocarbon industry.”

In this regard, he stressed that “the workers of Venezuela are highly aware of what it means to defend our Homeland, and today we are responding to the call for enlistment and the call for ranks made by President Nicolás Maduro. For what? to be ready, ready to defend Venezuela against what has been one of the terrible calumnies to justify an intervention.”

In this regard, he pointed out that the accusations of the narco-state are “simply a great slander, but it is not new. It is a historic pattern of the United States for intervening countries, for intervening countries that are not related to it, for intervening countries when they are interested in stealing the resources of those countries. And Venezuela knows, that's why the enlistment of workers in the hydrocarbon industries in Venezuela is so important.”
