This Saturday, March 16, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, extended his gratitude to the grassroots structures of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) for their support and unconditional love, after being re-elected candidate of the Bolivarian Revolution for the presidential elections of this July 28.
“This is a message of thanks for all the love, and the noble support of all the work teams, heads of the street, the community, the UBCH, all the leadership of the parishes, municipalities, states and all the leadership of five generations that we are fervently united,” said the National Executive through his WhatsApp channel.
He also thanked the words offered by María León “La Leona de Chávez”, Adán Chávez, Alejandro Terán, Grecia Colmenares, Michell Delgado and the writing of Carola Chávez during the ceremony of accepting the candidacy within the framework of the V Congress of the PSUV.
He confirmed that revolutionaries are more united than ever “because of the great feeling of love for the Fatherland, love for the legacy of our Commander Hugo Chávez who guides us and carries us forward with great strength”.
In the same way, he stressed that great moments are coming for Venezuela and our duty is to continue “persevering on the path of peace, of national union, of the construction of economic prosperity with our own effort, with our own base, of the recovery of the social welfare state and of the construction of maximum social happiness, as Bolívar said.”
In that sense, he ratified his commitment to all his colleagues in the PSUV. “We are going to build a country that in 2030 can say: we are sovereign, we are independent and our people have achieved the greatest sum of equality, social happiness, economic prosperity (...) here I am ready, united and as Commander Chávez said, that December 8: unity, fight, battle and victory. It's our destiny,” he emphasized.
