The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of
Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted this Monday that the National Consultation for Criminal Justice
Reform represents an important step in the construction
of a new country that guarantees access to justice and due process for all.
“We are taking a strategic step in building a
new Venezuela, a new Venezuela that seeks a path for justice,
for access to justice, to guarantee the human rights of our
citizens and to make it effective through
guarantees, the protection of the State and the justice system,” said the
president in charge during the launch of the Grand National Consultation.
He stressed that, although there is progress, “there are many things
to resolve (...) We have made progress, but not enough, it is not what the
Venezuelan people deserve and it is not the justice that Venezuela needs and that is why we are taking this
historic strategic step,” he emphasized.
