Deputies to the AN will begin a national day to publicize the Essequibo Defense Law

The Special Commission for the Defense of
Essequibo Territory and Territorial Sovereignty will begin the National Day for the Dissemination
of the Organic Law for the Defense of Guiana Esequiba, next Thursday at the headquarters of
the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ).
This was reported by
the president of the commission, Deputy Hermann Escarrà (PSUV/Aragua), this
Monday at the end of the regular meeting of the parliamentary body.
Escarrà explained that the dissemination day will take place throughout the country and will
consist of developing, over six months, a series of conferences with
outstanding speakers who are experts in the field. He said that the objective of this
work is to inform and explain the virtues of the new law.
He also announced that, for this purpose, a promotional team
composed of deputies, advisors and guests was formed, who will organize the
strategy to be followed in the outreach work. He said that the governing body of the
activities will be the Carlos Escarrà Malavé Integral Training School
(EFICEM), led by political scientist Carolina Escarrà.
He also explained that a day is scheduled in the National Assembly,
next May, in which the Board of Directors of the Legislative Branch, the Executive
Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez and other authorities from the other public authorities
will participate.
He added that the day will end on November 26, when the 70th
anniversary of the birth of the lawyer and university professor, Carlos Escarrà Malavé, is commemorated.
Diploma on the Essequibo
The commission also approved the organization of a diploma course on the Essequibo,
which must be organized by the EFICEM, an instance that will assume matters relating to
academic hours, in addition to the exhibitions and presentations of political and academic personalities.
All this in order to provide participants with the necessary knowledge about
the importance of the Essequibo territory.
