Deputy Jorge Arreaza: To date 8,146 people have benefited from the Amnesty Law

The deputy of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Arreaza, this Thursday, March 26, in an updated balance sheet on the application of the Amnesty Law for Democratic Coexistence, specified that a total of 8,146 people have received full freedom since the approval of the legal instrument last February.

Through his social networks, Arreaza, who chairs the Special Monitoring Commission for the Amnesty Law, detailed the procedural situation of the beneficiaries.

In this regard, he explained that most citizens were already outside detention centers under precautionary regimes.

“Of the 8,146 people who benefited, 7,836 were already at large with presentation measures and 310 were deprived of their liberty,” he said.

The deputy confirmed that these actions are part of efforts for institutional stability.

The administrative process continues its course to ensure full compliance with the law throughout the national territory.
