The Deputy Minister for Latin America of the Ministry of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Mauricio Rodríguez, received this Thursday the Style Copies of the Ambassador of the Republic of Nicaragua appointed to Venezuela, Daysi Ivette Torres Bosques.

The protocol activity took place at the “Antonio José de Sucre” Yellow House and is part of the diplomatic procedure for accrediting herself as ambassador to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

Torres Bosques has a degree in Journalism, graduated from the Central American University (UCA). In 2008, she served as Deputy Mayor of Managua and from 2009 to 2018 she served as mayor.

Deputy Minister Rodríguez welcomed her to our country on behalf of the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez, inviting her to work together to continue to advance and strengthen the relations of friendship and cooperation that unite our peoples.

Caracas and Managua maintain a historic relationship of brotherhood and cooperation in areas of common interest, guided by positions of agreement on regional geopolitics and the defense of sovereignty; they also share membership in integration mechanisms such as CELAC and the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA).
