The Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs and Cults, Edgar Arteaga Matute, reported that the work articulated with the different expressions of faith continues to strengthen the processes of spiritual transformation within the prison system.

“Today we are over 90% of the prisons in the country that we have entered with more than 1,200 days carried out by the evangelical Christian church,” he said.

He stressed that these actions are part of “there is a transformation of the prison service and of the women and men who are there, so that they can reintegrate into society and return to their families.”

The Ministry of People's Power for Penitentiary Affairs emphasized that this policy is part of the line promoted by President Nicolás Maduro, which is being consolidated under the leadership of President (E) Delcy Rodríguez, with the objective of promoting human rehabilitation based on faith and spirituality.
