The Deputy Minister of Facilities and Logistics of the Ministry of Popular Power for Education, Willian Gil, reported that children and young people from all over the country return this Monday, January 12, to classes with optimal and safe spaces, to begin the second phase of the 2025-2026 school year.

He stressed that more than 1,700 educational facilities were restructured in the Bolivarian nation during the year 2025, as part of the policies of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

During an interview on the Al Aire program broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), he said that all educational institutions in the country are in optimal condition because the Ministry of Education deployed a rehabilitation and preventive maintenance plan in December to adapt these spaces.

He noted that in record time, several schools have been built in the national territory, which will be delivered today by national authorities, with the objective of continuing to guarantee access to education in the country.

He also stressed that in all educational institutions in the country, the School Feeding Program (PAE) is guaranteed, which offers breakfast, lunch and snack to students as part of the Bolivarian Government's social protection policies.

“Our schools are able to receive all the boys and girls of the Homeland. The entire education subsystem is active today in peace and quiet. Our space for caring for children and young people is schools, it is the safe space offered by the Republic,” he said.

On the other hand, he stressed that by order of the Minister for Education, Héctor Rodríguez, all those children who have returned to the country must be incorporated into the school system, even if they do not have complete documentation.

He pointed out that more than 100,000 children have been incorporated into this process, as part of the efforts of the 100% schooling program.

He also assured that the national territory has more than one million teachers, which makes it possible to cover all school enrollment.
