President in Charge announced the Strategic Import Replacement Plan to strengthen the economy

The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, announced the creation of the Strategic Import Replacement Plan in those areas that directly affect the food basket of the Venezuelan people.

“As of today, the Economic Cabinet is dedicated to the Communal Economy and industrial chain, for which a Strategic Import Substitution Plan has been created to strengthen economic sovereignty,” he said.

From the Caracas Polyhedron, where he led the National Meeting for the Communal Economy, where nearly 10,000 community members of the country exhibit their products, he stressed that “all the support for industrialization” will be given.

The president in charge stressed that this is part of the Admirable Challenge Plan 2026, designed by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, for which she pointed out that “one of the core pillars of this plan is strategic import substitution.”

“We have complied with President Maduro,” he emphasized.

During the activity, he also appointed the Minister of Popular Power for Communes, Social Movements and Urban Agriculture, Ángel Prado, and the Minister of Popular Power for Youth, Sergio Lotartaro as godparents of the Los Llanos region.
