Popular Power is a new democratic method, adapted to the reality of the country's environment and global geopolitics, emphasized this Wednesday, March 25, the first vice-president of the National Assembly (AN), Pedro Infante, at the Bolivian Museum in Caracas, where he opened the training activity coordinated by the Secretariat for Parliamentary Affairs.

In his speech, Infante offered an assessment of the current political scenario and urged parliamentarians to link closely with the communes and to protect the historical heritage of Venezuela, against threats from external agents.

“The political task we have must land, it must be in the territory where the communal circuits and communes are located (...) that connects with all the training we have in Bolívar, everything that Father Liberator proposed to us, and the defense of our historical legacy,” said Infante.

He asserted that the Communes and the Communal Circuits are called, together with the parliamentarians, to be united, to debate. “We must continue with our agenda, we continue to hold debates based on our people,” he said.

In this regard, he stressed that deputies have the responsibility to explain legislative processes so that the People's Power knows what is being done in the national Parliament. “Sovereignty resides in the people and the most important issues must be discussed with the people,” he added.
