This Monday, during the press conference of the National Directorate of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), the first vice-president of the red awning, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, assured that the country lives in full democracy.

“Once (Luiz Inacio) Lula said there is no more democratic country than Venezuela, if there is no election they invent it,” Cabello recalled and stated that “these are elections where the protagonist is the People, where the People participate, as happened yesterday with a massive presence.”

In this regard, he highlighted the clarity of the concept of Popular Power, since “People and government understand their role through a different way of governing”.

Cabello recalled Professor Aristobulo Istúriz when he spoke of communal government and said that it is “a self-government, the election of justices of the peace begins to shape it and when Commander (Hugo) Chávez said 'Commune or Nothing' he said it seriously and the time has come for the truth of the People and the communes and that is what President Maduro is doing”.

In this regard, he affirmed that firm steps are being taken “what is being achieved right now there is no way or way to be thrown back because it is progressivity, they are rights acquired by those who should, by the People”.
