The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, stated that the military threat and aggression against Venezuela is not a matter of a drug trafficking State, but of imperialist interests in appropriating its mineral resources, so they are trying to achieve a change of regime that ends the dignity of the Bolivarian Revolution and the dignity of the Venezuelan people.
“The pressures and the siege against Venezuela have nothing to do with drugs because drugs are not produced here, coca is not planted, marijuana is not planted, traffic is despicable, but Venezuela has oil, gas, gold, coltan, but Venezuela also has dignity,” he said during his Con El Mazo Dando program in his broadcast 542.
The PSUV board asserted that the so-called “regime change” proposed by the United States (US) government will not be easy, since the Venezuelan people are prepared for a protracted war.
