The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, described the European Union (EU) as arrogant, after announcing that they will ask for new sanctions for the nation.

During the usual press conference with the red awning, he indicated that the representatives of the European Union “are arrogant, they think they can sanction, they are stupid (...) It's the same method that has been going on for five or six years, a little longer, against Venezuela.”

Cabello specified that the block “has nothing to do in Venezuela, don't stick your nose in Venezuela.”
