The vice-president of the Politics, Public Security and Peace sector, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reported that State Security Agencies seized 3,77 kilos of super marijuana, equivalent to three tons, and eight people were captured in the operation, in Falcón state.

Cabello stated that this event was last Sunday, July 27, “they said that since the elections were going, they weren't going to stop them.”

He explained that they overheard a conversation, “and we said that they are going to come here and come in a boat, which had six 150 horsepower engines, had only four installed, they had two spare engines.”

“We started chasing them with two boats, caught up with them and forced them to stop, they are 3,077 kilos and we captured eight people. They came from La Guajira in Colombia and brought the drug trafficking route, the route that Gideon used (the criminals),” he said in his Con El Mazo Dando program, broadcast number 537.

On the other hand, Cabello reported that this Wednesday, July 30, “we grabbed, we're still stuck in that area, that's because of Mauroa, in Falcón, 14,000 liters of airplane gasoline on a clandestine runway.”

The minister said that “right now we are going to another logistics center, at this time we should be arriving”.

“They're not going to pass through here (Venezuela), they're going to have to get the money from drug trafficking elsewhere, it's not going to be here. Here we are determined,” he emphasized.

He also specified that over the course of 2025, more than 50 tons of drugs have been seized. We are on track to beat all existing drug seizure records in one year.”

“Keep trying because we are waiting for you here,” he said, while stating that when people are arrested, “foreign governments begin to appear. That drug came to Trinidad and from there to Europe.”
