During the 569th edition of the Con El Mazo Dando program, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, highlighted the profound political and spiritual impact of the Great National Pilgrimage for a Venezuela free of sanctions and in peace and highlighted the massive popular participation in defense of sovereignty.
“This pilgrimage was not just an act of faith, it was a demonstration of the moral strength that this people have. While some people bet on hate, we find ourselves on the street, embraced in hope and in popular organization. The success we saw is the clear response of a Venezuela that wants to continue following the path of tranquility and sovereignty.”
He also deepened the meaning of this mobilization, pointing out that the deployment throughout the national territory represents a strong message of resistance to external aggressions.
In this regard, he emphasized that the unity demonstrated at every step of the walk is the reflection of a collective conscience that is not daunted in the face of economic pressures, but is strengthened by the demand for the immediate cessation of unilateral coercive measures affecting the Venezuelan people.
He also stressed that this spiritual journey transcended the symbolic to become a tool for political and ideological combat, where every pilgrim became a spokesperson for the truth in Venezuela in the face of disinformation campaigns.
He stressed that the mystique and organization demonstrated by the militancy and the various social sectors during this journey are the guarantee that the country will maintain its course of growth and social stability without accepting tutorship of any kind.
The Great National Pilgrimage for a Venezuela free of sanctions and in peace culminated in Caracas on April 30, 2026, after twelve days of mobilization since April 19.
