The documentary Kueka Ancestral Memory is
a powerful work that transcends borders and offers a profound reflection
on the identity, resistance and connection of indigenous peoples with
their environment, which is why it has been nominated at several festivals,
including the Bariloche Audiovisual Festival 2025.
The festival, which will celebrate its
13th edition, will start from September 29 to October 5, where different audiovisual projects will be
presented.
María de los
Ángeles Peña's Venezuelan documentary will compete at the Bariloche Audiovisual Festival, in the
Latin American Feature Film category, in which Argentina, Bolivia,
Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala,
Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela participate.
In addition, at the Viennese Summer Festival, the
documentary will have its space at the opening of this event, which will begin
from September 19 to 30 in its first edition in Vienna-Austria.
It should be noted that the Viennese Summer Festival is an independent, non-profit project with free access to the public, with the institutional (non-financial) support of the Embassies and Permanent Representations of Mexico, Peru and Venezuela to the UN in Vienna.
