Douglas Rico: CICPC made more than 19,000 arrests in 2024 and reduced the mortality rate

The director of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC), Douglas Rico, provided an assessment of the positive results in 2024 and the almost finished month of January 2025.

During his radio program Cicpc Al Día, in its first edition of the third season, broadcast on the radio of the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, he specified that in 2024 19,434 people were arrested and 2,004 firearms were recovered.

He added that 12,783 ammunition was seized, 5,172 vehicles and 5,576 telephones were recovered, closing with a mortality rate of 4.1 people killed per 100,000 inhabitants, thanks to the perfect Popular - Military - Police Union.

On the other hand, he announced the new leaders of the different offices of the Scientific Police, who will carry out their positions in order to guarantee the policy of comprehensive care for the Venezuelan people, as indicated by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro and the Sectorial Vice President of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón.

Regarding the connotated cases, he detailed the legal interventions in which Wilexis Alexander Acevedo Monasterios, alias Wilexis, a dangerous criminal who kept the José Félix Ribas sector in Petare and his lieutenant, Carlos Alberto Aguilar Florez (25), nicknamed Care Muerto, in distress.

Rico also reported on the murder of Genesis Quintero Osorio (28), who was murdered in Montalbán, by her romantic partner, Jovany Baptista Salazar (25); the arrest of Kender Alexander Prieto (26) and Francisco Antonio González (64), responsible for the murder of José Gregorio Monasterio (67), perpetrated on San Martín Avenue.

He also mentioned the capture of Edison Hernández Aguilera (26) and Josue Blanco Pérez (38), for kidnapping; while Andy José Soto (26) and Dayalli Martínez Landaeta (31) were arrested for human trafficking in Tucupita and finally, he added that José González Márquez (36), a false veterinarian in Los Teques, was arrested.
