During the early morning of this Tuesday, a new Israeli attack was reported against a refugee camp west of Khan Younis, leaving at least 40 dead and 60 injured, including a large number of children and women, reports the Wafa news agency.

According to the Gaza Civil Emergency Service, at least 20 tents were set on fire at the site, where the missiles opened craters up to nine meters deep.

The attack, which was carried out with the launch of five missiles, took place near the British Hospital managed by the charity UK-Med, at the entrance to Al-Mawasi.

For now, search and rescue operations are continuing to recover potential victims under the rubble.

Witnesses have said that rescue teams face extreme difficulties due to massive destruction and deep craters left by missiles, which are compounded by conditions of complete darkness in the area.
