This Wednesday, as part of the Great Pilgrimage that covers the country, the governor of the state of Miranda, Elio Serrano, accompanied the president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, on a massive day of mobilization in Guarenas.

During his speech, Serrano highlighted the trajectory of struggle of those who today lead the national project and stressed that the entity is resolutely joining this deployment throughout the territory to consolidate the claim of Venezuelan families in the face of external aggressions.

“We in Miranda, in this 7,950 square kilometer state that is located on different axes with their own cultural and social conditions, have one thing clear: El Mirandino is committed to peace in the country. He is committed to the drive that this nation must have to achieve the vindication of the Venezuelan people.”

In this context, he added that “we join the pilgrimage that President Delcy Rodríguez has convened, because we are sure that with this action we will achieve the happiness of our people,” said the regional president.

Serrano emphasized that the strength of the Mirandino people is not circumstantial, but rather that it comes from a historical heritage of resistance that is kept alive in each municipality. In this sense, he linked the current fight against unilateral coercive measures to the legacy of the heroes who defended the territory in past centuries, demanding the cessation of blockades to guarantee the full development of the entity and the country.

“We follow the examples of Eulalia Buroz, who left us what the Fatherland will live for; of the teachings of Guaicaipura back in Los Teques, who fought against colonialism, and also of Miranda and Bolívar. For this reason, these people of Miranda are committed to the peace of the country and definitely demanding that we be free from sanctions for the vindication and for the happiness of the people. We are here to follow that example of collective dedication and work for our compatriots,” concluded the governor.
