Emergency care bodies activate contingency plan in Ocumare de la Costa de Oro

Civil Protection officials , in coordination with other security and risk management agencies, activated a care and contingency plan to restore traffic and assist families affected by the flooding of the Cuyagua and La Trilla rivers in Aragua state.
The deployment took place since Friday night, with Civil Protection officials from the Girardot and Ocumare mayors, as well as park rangers and firefighters from Aragua.
The mayor of Ocumare, Wilmer Leal, joined the work, ensuring an immediate response for residents and visitors in the sectors of Aponte, La Trilla, Ocumare, El Recreo and El Playón.
The tasks carried out included controlled pruning of trees, clearing roads and assistance to affected communities, local press reported.
