National authorities commemorate the 216th Anniversary of April 19, 1810 in the National Pantheon

In a solemn ceremony held at the National Pantheon Monumental Complex and Mausoleum of the Liberator, authorities of the Venezuelan State carried out the traditional raising of the national tricolor, commemorating the 216th Anniversary of the beginning of the Venezuelan independence process.
The ceremony, which constitutes the central protocol of the day, and paid tribute to the historical events of April 19, 1810, a milestone that marked the beginning of the emancipatory feat in the country, highlights the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace (MPPRIJP), in its account on the social network Telegram.
During the activity, the authorities of the Bolivarian Government raised the national flag while the notes of the hymn “Glory to the Brave People” were sung. The day took place with rigorous military honors, where members of the Bolivarian Navy escorted the national flag until it was raised to the top of the pole, marking the beginning of patriotic tributes in this sacred space of history.
The event was attended by an important group of members of the National Executive, led by the Minister of Popular Power for Transportation, Jacqueline Fanía; the mayor of the Libertador municipality, admiral in chief Carmen Meléndez; the Minister of Popular Power for Hydrocarbons, Paula Henao; and the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Raúl Cazal.
These civil authorities proceeded to sign the official act, in order to formally record the carrying out of the protocol act in honor of such a significant date in the history of Venezuela as a free and independent nation.
With this act, the Bolivarian Government reaffirmed its commitment to the historical legacy of the heroes of the country, keeping in force the spirit of freedom and sovereignty that has defined the nation since that historic year 1810.
