Engineering teams from the Bolivarian Government of Aragua, in conjunction with the entity's College of Engineers, the Corps of Aviation Engineers and the municipal engineering departments, are deployed at the Maracay Central Hospital (HCM) to carry out a technical inspection in the operating room area, located on the 1st floor of the healthcare center.

These actions are part of the evaluations initiated after the double earthquake that occurred on June 24, an event that activated review protocols in health centers, public buildings and high-affluence spaces, the Gobernación de Aragua press reported.

The inspections seek to verify the structural condition of the hospital and to determine possible damages derived from the earthquake.

The HCM is one of the prioritized points within the hospital infrastructure verification plan, which includes analysis of structural elements, support systems and critical areas. Regional authorities have indicated that these reviews are carried out in coordination with the national teams responsible for the supervision of works and sanitary maintenance.

The specialized personnel will remain on site until the corresponding diagnosis is completed, in order to establish the necessary technical measures to ensure the operation of the center and the continuity of surgical services.
